The Uncollected J.D. Salinger

If you click here you can download a .PDF file purporting to be the uncollected stories of the reclusive author J.D. Salinger (Catcher in the Rye, A Perfect Day for Bananafish, Franny & Zooey).

I'm unable to verify its authenticity but the titles included in the table of contents match a list of Salinger's previous published magazine stories compiled by the diligent fanboys over at salinger.org. According to them "these are those stories that were never published in widely-available books, but can still be found in the original magazines where they appeared."

So, it's my current understanding that (assuming that the texts are authentic) these are simply the uncollected J.D. Salinger short stories and not the famous unpublished ones that are kept under lock and key with Salinger's personal papers at the Princeton University Library. Salinger.org also has a list of those, if you're interested.

Click here to join the discussion over at The SOMB. Big ups to the generous gentleman with the unfortunate nickname (JimmyTheExploder) who posted the link. You are my sunshine.
